Dying Light: The Beast follows the original protagonist Kyle Crane years after The Following, as a prisoner of the manipulative Baron, who experiments on him, fusing human and Volatile DNA, turning Crane into a powerful, rage-fueled hybrid. Escaping captivity, Crane embarks on a quest for revenge, battling his inner conflict and monstrous instincts while navigating a new region, Caster Woods, facing cults, mutated creatures (Chimeas), and the Baron's forces, using his new beastly powers to overcome enemies.
