Joshua R. Pangborn is an American actor, director, playwright, and producer based in New York City, recognized for his commitment to queer and fat-positive representation in the horror and comedy genres. He has been a prolific figure in the independent scene for over a decade, most notably as the founder of SideKick Productions, through which he created the long-running soap opera Skeleton Crew and the horror-fantasy series Demon Doctor. A multifaceted artist with a PhD in Literature, his career reached a new milestone in 2025 with a recurring role as Cal in the HBO series The Chair Company, following appearances in mainstream projects like Poker Face (2023). In addition to his screen work, he is a published author, recently releasing the story collection Homo Phobias and the queer horror feature A Taste of Youth.
