James Ira Newborn (born December 26, 1949) is an American musician known for scores for comedy films of the 1980s and 1990s, including many with director John Hughes.
The 1994 comedy classic Dumb and Dumber if it were done 10 years later. After a woman leaves a briefcase at the airport terminal, two dim-witted buddies set out on a hilarious cross-country road trip to Aspen to return it.
