James Dornan (born May 1, 1982) is an Irish actor, model, and musician. He played Axel von Fersen in Sofia Coppola's film Marie Antoinette (2006), Sheriff Graham Humbert in the ABC series Once Upon a Time, serial killer Paul Spector in the BBC Two and RTÉ One crime drama series The Fall, and Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades franchise (2015-2018).
The story is set in 1925. Its protagonists are five friends, veterans of the Irish Civil War and the Irish War of Independence that preceded it. They are people who are greatly wronged by both wars. They lost their homes and lived on the streets, but that's not all. Brian was blinded, Rory lost a leg during the war, Rian's face is disfigured by horrific scars, Fionn lost half of his right arm, and can barely manage his left hand, while Oscar is paralyzed from the waist down.
