Elizabeth Cronin, an overworked paralegal, divorces from her husband and returns to live with her busybody mother, she is unexpectedly visited by her childhood imaginary friend, Drop Dead Fred. Fred says he’s only here to help "Lizzy" live her best life, but his true intentions are far more nefarious as he begins going on a vengeful rampage against the people she once cared about.
