The adoptive grandfather of Goku, he takes Goku in after finding him in the crashed spaceship. Gohan's teachings and kindness help Goku become the person he would become today. Unfortunately, Gohan is accidentally killed when Goku turns into a Great Ape. All though dead, Gohan would return when Goku and gang fight him at Fortuneteller Baba's place, resulting in an emotional reunion. Gohan is pleased with how Goku is progressing and eventually returns to Other World. Goku names his first son, Gohan, in Grandpa Gohan's honor.
