Lord Peter Wimsey is a dilettante who solves mysteries for his own amusement and is the archetype of the British Gentleman Detective. He is often assisted in his investigations by his valet and former batman, Mervyn Bunter, Cheif Inspector Charles Parker; and Mystery Author and Love Interest: Harriet Vane, who later becomes his wife.
