A stoic silverback gorilla who was the original legendary King of the Jungle, now retired and free to roam the lands. He has been at odds with his son, Cranky Kong for the same reason Cranky is at odds with his own son, DK. Irresponsibility, stubbornness and arrogance, unwilling to listen to their elders and not taking themselves seriously, selling themselves short and thinking they deserve everything. That has made Perseus even crankier than Cranky himself. Cranky is concerned that DK is gonna go down the same path he took and will finally what it feels like to be ignored. Perseus doesn’t think DK will be worthy of the throne either.
