The beautiful and big hearted Mayor of New York City, a rising talented star jazz singer nicknamed “The Songbird Queen of Jazz” with a breathtaking voice of an angel. She’s Mario's ex girlfriend and Donkey Kong's unintentional victim of abduction. He thinks he was saving her life from certain dangers but Pauline interpreted it as a kidnapping and feared for her life. He takes her to the Jungle Kingdom. However, Pauline won't be afraid of DK for long, for she will eventually learn of the ape's true, good nature and thus they form a very special loving bond. In return, DK promises to bring her back home if she helps him retrieve his stolen bananas from the Kremlings.
