The TARDIS lands in Sanctum Shopping & Dining, the last surviving mall on a desolate, post-apocalyptic Earth. While Ruby explores the eerie, deserted corridors, the Doctor senses an unnatural presence. Soon, they encounter the Scream Sommelier, an eldritch entity who feeds on fear and collects the screams of the universe. With a flamboyant demeanor and a penchant for psychological torment, he separates the Doctor and Ruby, trapping them in a nightmare dimension.
