A brilliant but arrogant neurosurgeon named Dr. Stephen Strange suffers a career-ending car accident that damages his hands. Desperate for a cure, he seeks out a mysterious enclave in Kamar-Taj, Tibet, where he learns about the mystic arts and becomes a powerful sorcerer. He must then use his newfound abilities to protect the world from dark forces, including the rogue sorcerer Mordo and the malevolent entity Dormammu.
