Sterling Kelby Brown (born April 5, 1976) is an American actor. Known for his leading roles on stage and screen, he has received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and a nomination for an Academy Award. He was included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018. Brown portrayed Christopher Darden in the FXlimited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story (2016), which earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. For his role as Randall Pearson in the NBC drama series This Is Us (2016–2022), he earned the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He was further Emmy-nominated for his comedic roles in the Fox Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2018) and the Amazon Prime comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2019). For his role in American Fiction (2023), he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Brown is also known for his leading roles in films such as Hotel Artemis (2019), Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul. (2022), and Biosphere (2023) as well as supporting roles in Marshall (2017), Black Panther (2018), and Waves (2019). Doctor Fate was an American television series that ran for four seasons from 2017 to 2020. It is based on the DC Comics hero, Doctor Fate. It is the second television series in the DCEU and the second and final television series in Phase 1. It premiered on August 24, 2017 and ended on November 19, 2020. After getting Lori the help she needs and properly helping her getting through the loss of her mother, Kent decides that he must fix his actual life and save himself before he starts saving other people. So he gives Doctor Fate a rest and decides to try and mend the relationship with his wife and try to get his license reinstated. While doing so, an evil millennia old sorcerer who fought the original Doctor Fate, tries to take the Helmet for himself, to try control all of magic for his own nefarious purposes. Kent needs to learn the value of his own life before the sorcerer known as Wotan takes everyone's else and defeat him once and for all.
