She is now Gothel, a being sustained by the forest's magic, eternally youthful and beautiful, but devoid of empathy. She confronts Hildegard, realizing the elder woman only sought to use her as a vessel for the Forest Spirit's influence. Gothel defeats Hildegard, claiming the forest's magic as her own. In the final scene, she overhears whispers in the town about the King and Queen of Corona expecting a child – a child with the same magical properties as the forest's flower, the same magic that now runs through her veins. Her eyes gleam with dark ambition as the credits roll.
