John Knoll (born October 6, 1962) is an American Chief Creative Officer/Senior Visual Effects Supervisor of Industrial Light & Magic, having been promoted to that position on May 23, 2013, after serving as the company's visual effects supervisor. He joined ILM in 1986.
Set in 65 million years ago, an egg travels to an island of lemurs and hatches a baby Iguanodon and has been named Aladar. When Aladar grows up, a meteor destroys the island as he and the lemurs embark on a long journey to the nesting grounds with the herd from the dangers of Carnotaurus.
