Stanford Filbrick "Ford" Pines, Ph.D., also known as The Author is a major character in the animated series Gravity Falls. He is the long-lost older twin brother of Stan Pines, a great uncle of Dipper and Mabel Pines, and also the writer of journals 1, 2, and 3.
