Jaekelopterus
Jaekelopterus is a genus of predatory eurypterid, a group of extinct aquatic arthropods. Fossils of Jaekelopterus have been discovered in deposits of Early Devonian age, from the Pragian and Emsian stages.
In 1862, an American explorer and his son are shipwrecked and washed upon a mysterious island. Soon they discover that this island is the home of generations of humans and dinosaurs living together in a peaceful and fantastic civilization called Dinotopia. Based on the books by James Gurney.
