Wyck Godfrey is an American producer and executive. He is best known for producing The Twilight Saga and The Maze Runner film series. He is a partner of the production company Temple Hill Entertainment with his friend Marty Bowen, which they founded in 2006. In 2017, he was named President of Paramount Motion Pictures Group. In 2020, Godfrey left Paramount and returned to producing with Temple Hill Entertainment. Godfrey graduated from Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tennessee, earned a degree in English literature from Princeton University, and later moved to New York City, where he interned at New Line Cinema. In February 2006, he and his friend Marty Bowen founded their own production company, Temple Hill Entertainment, and produced The Nativity Story as their first film together. He was raised Christian. Godfrey produced the five films in The Twilight Saga series from 2008 to 2012. In 2014, he produced the young adult novel adaptation The Fault in Our Stars He has also produced the three films in The Maze Runner series. During a party, Lucy McClane (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is kidnapped by an unknown group of German terrorists. 3 weeks goes by and no one has heard from her since the night of the party, Authorities give up their search and presume that she was killed but when a video of Lucy being held hostage and warning everyone that the terrorists plan on dropping an atomic bomb on America unless their needs are met is nationally televised around America. Within 40 minutes of the hostage video being aired the McClane residence gets a mysterious phone call from who seems to be the leader of the terrorist group, he exclaims that he will kill John and his family and finally get his revenge and right before he hangs up the phone he says "Gruber Out". The NYPD discover that the leader of the terrorist group is Frederick Gruber (Tom Hiddleston), Simon Gruber's son and the last known relative of both Hans and Simon. John McClane (Bruce Willis) comes out of retirement and returns to the NYPD for one last mission, to save his daughter. John must now team up with the NYPD's Prodigy, Tyreese Bane (Lakeith Stanfield) along with a few old friends in order to save and Lucy and prevent America from becoming a nuclear wasteland.
