Gaear Grimsrud is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Carl Showalter) of the 1996 comedy crime-thriller film Fargo. He was a Swedish criminal hired by Jerry Lundegard to kidnap his wife, Jean, to collect on a ransom. However, he is shown to be a violent sociopath with little in the ways of restraint as he initiates most of the violence throughout Minnesota.
