Maziyar "Maz" Jobrani (born February 26, 1972) is an Iranian-American comedian and actor who is part of the "Axis of Evil" comedy group. The group appeared on a comedy special on Comedy Central. Jobrani has also appeared in numerous films, television shows, including Better Off Ted, on radio, and in comedy clubs. His filmography includes roles in The Interpreter, Friday After Next, Dragonfly, and Jimmy Vestvood: Amerikan Hero. He appears as a regular character on the 2017 CBS sitcom Superior Donuts. He is also currently a board member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC).

The Descendants is an American musical, fantasy television film directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega. Actors Dove Cameron, Sofia Carlson, Cameron Boyce and Booboo Stewart played the roles of teenage children Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella De Ville and Jafar. The film tells about the adventures of teenagers adjusting to life outside their comfort zone when they tried to steal the wand of the good fairy to free their parents from captivity. The film debuted on July 31, 2015 on the Disney Channel and attracted an audience of 6.6 million viewers[1], receiving positive reviews.
