Andrew B. Bachelor (born June 26, 1988), better known as King Bach, is a Canadian-American internet personality, actor, and content creator who was the most followed user on the now-defunct video sharing service Vine with 11.3 million followers.
This is inspired by the true story of a real-life, little-known American hero — Robert Smalls — who, as an enslaved person in Charleston at the height of the Civil War, pulled off the most audacious heist in history — a suicide mission if caught — by stealing his friends and family and the Confederate warship on which he served to run the naval blockade in the treacherous South Carolina waters and defect to the North.
