Alpheus, also known as the "World Forger", is the first son of Perpetua and the older brother of both the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor. Created by Perpetua in the Sixth Dimension from the Overvoid, Alpheus was tasked with overseeing the Forge of Worlds, a realm beneath creation where he hammered out universes from the hopes and fears of all living beings. The most stable worlds were allowed to rise into the World Orrery, while those that were twisted and unstable were destroyed by his dragon, Barbatos, and their energies returned to the Forge. However, Barbatos went rogue, killing his master, and all the unstable worlds that should have been dissolved lived on, creating the Dark Multiverse. After Barbatos' defeat on Earth, the World Forger would periodically reform in the Sixth Dimension.
