Howard is a chemistry teacher at a small-town high school. He has a loving wife and two teenage children. When Howard is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to turn to a life of crime to provide for his family before he passes away. He recruits his former student, Jennifer, to help him produce and sell meth.
Unfortunately, their plan goes wrong when their money-laundering operation is uncovered by the authorities. Faced with a long prison sentence, Howard and his family are forced to relocate to the Missouri Ozarks. In their new environment, they must navigate their way through a dangerous criminal underworld while struggling to keep their family afloat. Howard must also confront his own moral failings and the consequences of his actions. Can he make amends and provide for his family before it’s too late?
