Ted is a main character and one of the five survivors of the apocalypse in "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" and its adaptations. He is the narrator and central figure of the short story and all other adaptations, except the video game, which divides focus between all of the characters. Along with Benny, Ellen, Gorrister, and Nimdok, Ted has been tortured by AM for over 109 years. He is a cynical and paranoid man who claims that he is unaffected by AM's torture and that the other survivors are conspiring against him.
