Starro launches a global invasion by taking control of millions of humans. After repelling the invader, the heroes discover that Starro was actually fleeing Brainiac, a cosmic artificial intelligence that collects and destroys civilizations. Faced with this even greater threat, the Justice League is forced to form a temporary alliance with Starro to prevent Brainiac from conquering Earth.
