Ted Kord is the former head of Kord Industries and the second person to take up the Blue Beetle mantle. He has no powers to speak of, but carried on the Blue Beetle legacy with just his wits and his fists, along with a whole lot of gadgets and a sharp sense of humour. Reportedly, Kord Industries under Ted Kord's management maintained a long running rivalry with Bruce Wayne's WayneTech.
