After a super-intelligent extraterrestrial being and his army of METALLOs attack Superman in Smallville and abduct his childhood bully, Clark and his cousin Kara come together in order to follow this being back into the stars. Meanwhile, Lois, Jimmy, and Ron are forced to team up with Lex Luthor in order to defeat a hidden group of METALLOs left by the being on Earth.
