Growing up on Krypton she picked up an affinity for both art and science (though her father mostly encouraged her scientific achievement). As one of the last surviving members of her race (and seemingly the only one raised in the culture) she attempts to continue on and recreate cultural elements (foods, activities and Raoism) in her new life. She also continues in both her artistic and scientific pursuits. She also has pent up frustration and anger about being the only cultural survivor of Krypton (her baby cousin having misunderstood what he learned about their culture other than the public service) and also about how Krypton was destroyed.
