After defeating Darkseid at the cost of half of Earth, Superman ingests an Apokoliptian orb that transforms him into a ruthless tyrant, forcing the surviving heroes to fracture into warring factions across a shattered world—while Batman, Lois Lane, and a band of rebels must confront not only the tyrant Superman, but the very survival of humanity itself.
