Ivan G'Vera (born Ivan Šplíchal; April 1, 1959) is a Czech-American actor, best known for his role as Ivan Marais on the American soap opera Days of Our Lives from 1991 to 2000, and sporadically thereafter. He’s also known for appearing as a Red October submarine officer in The Hunt for Red October (1990), the Venice hotel concierge in Casino Royale (2006), General Dimitri Lysenko in Terminator Salvation (2009) and the Russian president in Independence Day: Resurgence (2016). At age 18, the Prague-born young man fled Czechoslovakia for the United States, attended college, and later became an actor, adopting the stage name "Ivan G'Vera". He was nominated for the "Outstanding Scene Stealer" by Soap Opera Digest Award in 1998. G'Vera is a naturalized citizen of the United States.

Changes made by me to the current version of the show include: Making Sonny's friend Brian the son of Peter Blake/Paul's boyfriend/Will Horton's rival, Introducing Maxine's kids Janelle and Marcus, Sami and Lucas' daughter Allie comes out as trans male Alan to friends and family, Paul Telfer plays Justin and Angelica's son Alex instead of Xander Cook, recast Andrew Donovan and made him Abby's love interest, Chad and Melanie get back together and eventually get married/have kids, have Linsey Godfrey play Noelle Curtis instead of Sarah Horton, rivalry between Sydney and Ciara as well as love triangle with Chase Jennings, introducing Melinda's daughter Jade Trask and making Li Shin Melinda's brother/Jade's uncle, reintroduce Philip and Mimi's son Tyler Kiriakis and put him in a love triangle with Alan and Jade, and make Ben and Gabi a couple who eventually get married/have kids.
