From seemingly out of nowhere, the bodies of the recently-dead have come back to life with a ravenous hunger for human flesh. Somewhere in suburbia Wisconsin, a nurse, a police officer, a salesman, an ex-drug dealer and his pregnant wife take refuge in a mega shopping mall in the middle of the city. But they must contend with tyrannical mall security guards, more survivors who arrive, and an ever-growing army of the living dead right outside the walls.
