After a huge battle between Sonic and Scourge's teams, and the Echidnas against Eggman's new henchmen, the multiversal villains Robotnik brought here are revealed to be brainwashed by Eggman! Then they decide to destroy the machine that brought them here, and wreak havoc on this universe! Sonic and Scourge are on equal terms now that Scourge has seen the true side of this Robotnik. So, Scourge and his team set off on their own, hoping to stop those menaces from wreaking havoc on Mobius. Sonic and his friends do the same. Knuckles gives his role as tribe leader back to Locke since Sonic and his friends need him more than the Echidnas do.
