When Tails the Werefox ran to find Sonic, who bit him earlier, Shadow gotten into a small 5-second brawl between him and the Werefox that resulted in his infection, making him Shadow the Werehog. His Black Arms DNA and his Chaos Energy makes the Dark Gaia energy inside him more unstable and enables Shadow to have a split personality every five minutes going from Shadow to the monster he looks to be. So, he's half-corrupted.
