Knuckles knew he had to help Sonic, Tails, AMy, Mighty and Ray rescue Cream from Eggman Island. He always knew Robotnik would stab them in the back. Now he only wished Sonic allowed him to snap Eggman's neck in a pinch when he fooled them in Metal Chaos Part III. In the end, he is glad that the lies, deception, and the destruction caused by Eggman are at an end, since he was the first to be betrayed by Robotnik.
