At the beginning of the movie, a kind-looking Eggman gave Cream a present that looked like a metal figurine of a Dark Chao. But at the exact moment Sonic figured out Eggman killed Longclaw, the figurine turned out to be a robot, and took Cream to Eggman Island! Vanilla was worried about her safety, and so was Tails. When Sonic's team found her, she was tied up and put in a glass case but unharmed because Eggman wanted to use the Metal Virus on her, right n front of Sonic! But they saved Cream before he could, and she thanks Tails for his heroism.
