Rosemary saw the sadness in her child's eyes and talked to Amadeus about Tails having to be separated from Sonic. Amadeus agrees that if it weren't for Sonic, Tails would not be here. And they have bonded tremendously in the past two years. So, in the ending, Rosemary and Amadeus tell Tails that he can stay with Sonic and his family, but goes to his parents' house on weekends. Sonic and Tails were overjoyed, and Amadeus and Rosemary were so proud of their son having the family he wanted.
