Out of him, Arnold and Amanda, Rob is the only one who still trusts Sonic even after Amy's capture. He insisted on going with Sonic, but he didn't want Rob to get hurt or have Amy's parents unprotected. But with Amy's parents not on his side, he went with Sonic to help him on his rescue mission. When Amy came back, Rob made a promise to never let anything happen to his younger cousin. But that almost seems impossible now that Amy's proven to take care of herself.
