Marine saw the pain in Ray's eyes, seeing his team and brother in so much pain after the events of Metal Chaos Part II. All she can do is be there for him. Besides, she has a crush on him after all. In the final battle, when Marine was outgunned and outmatched, Ray came to her rescue and swept her off her feet. Marine finally kissed Ray (with Mighty and the Chaotix teasing behind him) as a thanks. Ray returned the favor at the end,
