Amy is a crucial part in Sonic's life that he cannot live without. She has been there since Dawn of Sonic and Amy. She has been one of his top supporters. Heck, Amy's his girlfriend for crying out loud! But near the end, Amy selflessly bought Sonic some time fighting Metal Amy only to be captured by the Shadow Androids, who retrieved the Chaos Emerald she had. Then she remained in captivity of Neo Metal Sonic for the rest of the movie. Only the next installment would we see what happens to her.
