This Robotnik came from Sonic 3 when the Eclipse Cannon exploded. He, like the other Movie characters, is from an alternate reality that does not connect to Sonic 4. All he remembered was being on the Eclipse Cannon, and there he was. Perhaps the machine that Dawnverse Eggman created had saved Movie Robotnik and Movie Shadow, but also brought Agent Stone to this one. When Movie Robotnik met AoStH Robotnik, he tells Agent Stone to watch over the AoStH bad guys while he begrudgingly joins the Sonics and their friends.
