This isn't the same Nega from Blaze of Fury. This one is an earlier time version where it explains everything about him: he was actually the Eggman of Silver's time and the secondary antagonist of Silver's life. He mentioned being beaten by another hedgehog OTHER than Sonic, and that was Silver! How he ended up in Blaze's dimension is by a portal incident due to Silver and Venice interfering with his plans, and then the events of Blaze of Fury happened.
