Amy Lou Adams (born August 20, 1974) is an American actress. Known for both her comedic and dramatic roles, she has been featured three times in annual rankings of the world's highest-paid actresses. She has received various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards. She has been nominated for six Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Adams began her career as a dancer in dinner theatre, a pursuit she followed from 1994 to 1998. They made her film debut with a supporting part in the dark comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Six months after Zod’s invasion, Superman is both revered and feared. Lex Luthor, owner of LexCorp, invites the city’s elite to a lavish party, where Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince, investigating Superman, attend. Bruce and Lex clash over Superman, and Lex introduces a Kryptonite mineral that could weaken him. Meanwhile, Batman’s violent actions alienate Gotham’s citizens, and his relationship with Alfred deteriorates. At the party, Superman handles an emergency, triggering a tense confrontation with Batman. Bruce discovers Superman’s identity and begins crafting a Kryptonite weapon. Lois and Clark investigate Batman’s past, while Lex plots to capture Diana and exploit her origins. Batman, in new armor, confronts Superman using Kryptonite.
