Six months after Zod’s invasion, Superman is both revered and feared. Lex Luthor, owner of LexCorp, invites the city’s elite to a lavish party, where Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince, investigating Superman, attend. Bruce and Lex clash over Superman, and Lex introduces a Kryptonite mineral that could weaken him. Meanwhile, Batman’s violent actions alienate Gotham’s citizens, and his relationship with Alfred deteriorates. At the party, Superman handles an emergency, triggering a tense confrontation with Batman. Bruce discovers Superman’s identity and begins crafting a Kryptonite weapon. Lois and Clark investigate Batman’s past, while Lex plots to capture Diana and exploit her origins. Batman, in new armor, confronts Superman using Kryptonite. As they battle, Clark urges Bruce to remember his mission to inspire hope. The fight is interrupted when Lex’s men capture Superman and Diana. Batman, Alfred, and Nightwing infiltrate Lex’s facility in Alaska, rescue the captives, and battle Lex’s robotic forces. Lex activates a Kryptonite-powered suit, but Superman, revived by sunlight, joins the fight. Together, they defeat Lex. Afterwards, Lex is arrested, and Superman steps back from heroism. Bruce and Diana investigate a looming cosmic threat. Post Credits: On Apokolips, Darkseid prepares for war.
