After years without a numbered Saw Film, we get to see David Fincher put his touch on the series. Detective David Ward is a CIA operative, who gets drugged and he wakes up in a saw trap. He narrowly escapes and the voice of John Kramer himself comes on the intercom to tell him to escape his game, or die horrifically trying. Along the way Ward meets other people in their own games, and attempts to get them out.
