LaKeith Lee Stanfield (born August 12, 1991) is an American actor. He made his feature film debut in Short Term 12 (2013), for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award. He received further recognition for his roles in the films Get Out (2017), Sorry to Bother You (2018), Uncut Gems (2019), Knives Out (2019), and Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), the lattermost of which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Stanfield has also appeared in the films Selma (2014), Dope (2015), Straight Outta Compton (2015), Crown Heights (2017), The Photograph (2020), The Harder They Fall (2021), Haunted Mansion (2023), and The Book of Clarence (2023). On television, he starred in the series Atlanta (2016–2022), for which he won a Black Reel Award for Television, and in the horror series The Changeling (2023–present). American businessman James Green travels to Japan on financial matters. However, not related to his work. He owes Yakuza about $800000000. This is blackmail. If he does not deliver the money to them they will turn his life into hell. On his way to their hideout he hears screaming in a dark alley. It turns out that someone is trying to kill a woman. He rescues her and leads her out of the alley. They both fall in love with each other and James forgets about money and the mafia. They both return to the U.S., get married, and have a daughter whom they name Hope. After a few years, James wakes up to find his wife sleeping next to him. Dead. Hope in turn disappears in mysterious circumstances. Next to him lies a note reminding him of the money, and that the threat has been partially fulfilled, and if he does not deliver the money within a week, Hope will die, as will other people's children, and the blame will be placed on him. The man decides to save his daughter and deal with the mafia forever. In doing so, he gets an unexpected helper.
