Gotham City, 1970s. Arthur Fleck, a young man with a troubled past and a twisted sense of humor, wrestles with his sanity while working as a clown for hire. Unbeknownst to him, Arthur is the son of the infamous Red Hood, leader of a notorious Gotham gang. When his father's identity is revealed, Arthur's world crumbles. He grapples with a horrifying truth - the violence and chaos he craved stemmed from his own blood. Thrust into the criminal underworld, Arthur is reluctantly accepted by the Red Hood gang. Haunted by his father's legacy and his own fragile mental state, Arthur navigates the brutal world of Gotham's underbelly. He befriends a cunning criminal mastermind, Sofia Gigante, who recognizes the potential for chaos within Arthur. As Arthur descends deeper into madness, his signature clown persona emerges. He uses his dark humor and theatrical flair to terrorize Gotham's elite, mirroring the Red Hood's past actions. However, Arthur's motives are a twisted mix of vengeance for his fractured childhood and a desperate yearning for connection.
