Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts is an American film and television director. His feature directorial debut, The Kings of Summer, screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, and also at the 2013 Cleveland International Film Festival. The film won the Narrative Feature Audience Award at the 2013 Dallas International Film Festival.[1] He also wrote and directed a short film which screened at the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW, Successful Alcoholics. He also co-wrote and directed the TV series Mash Up. In 2017, Vogt-Roberts directed the MonsterVerse film Kong: Skull Island.

With the reveal of Atlantis to the surface world, the humans of Earth have begun to question their knowledge of this planet. With Godzilla and his allies defeating the threat from below the waves, all has become quiet, and Godzilla has taken time to spend with his family and repair the bonds that had been broken following Ghidorah's revival. And yet it seems that the Hollow Earth remains to be a centre piece in all of the world's problems. Despite the old rivalries between the Gojira and the Apes having been long over, it seems that some grudges can simply never be given up. A new threat has long been slumbering within the ruined Kingdoms of old lost to the Earth's depths... and all it takes is one individual to disrupt the fragile peace.
