Miles Teller (born February 20, 1987) is an American actor. He debuted his feature film with the independent drama Rabbit Hole (2010). He gained wider recognition for his roles in the coming-of-age film The Spectacular Now (2013) and the Divergent film trilogy (2014–2016). His breakthrough role came in the drama Whiplash (2014), which earned him critical acclaim. Teller starred in the superhero film Fantastic Four (2015) and the biographical film War Dogs (2016). He garnered a mainstream resurgence for his starring role in the action film Top Gun: Maverick (2022). In television, he has starred in the Amazon Prime Video crime drama Too Old to Die Young (2019) and the Paramount+miniseries The Offer (2022). When an attempt to end his life fails, Scott Summers who was kicked out of his home by his parents after unlocking his mutant abilities, meets a mutant named Eric Lensherr who offers him shelter and food. Eventually Eric introduces Scott to his Brotherhood, a group of Mutants who believe humans are wrong about their kind. The group consists of Eric, Peter Maximoff, Wanda Maximoff, Cain Marko, Raven Dakholme, and Logan aka The Wolverine. Throughout the movie Logan is cold towards Scott while Eric gets progressively more manipulative. Eventually Eric learns that Logan is planning on leaving the group and tells Scott his final test to see if he's worthy of joining the Brotherhood of Mutants is here. He tells Scott to fight Logan. Logan fights but tries not to hurt Scott. He tries to convince Scott that the Brotherhood is corrupt and eventually with Eric's manipulation coming to light, Scott stops fighting and leaves with Logan who manages to get in contact with a shelter for Mutants with no home, he calls someone named Mccoy and asks for directions.
