Christopher Markus (born October 16, 1969) and Stephen McFeely (born February 24, 1970) are American screenwriters and producers. McFeely and Markus were the second and the third most successful screenwriters of all time in terms of U.S. box office receipts with a shared total gross of over $3.1 billion. However, in overall, they are the highest grossing screenwriters altogether in terms of worldwide box office with the total gross of $9.3 billion. They gained worldwide recognition for their works that include The Chronicles of Narnia film franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), having written the first three Captain America films (The First Avenger, The Winter Soldier and Civil War), in addition to Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, which is currently the second highest-grossing film of all time unadjusted for inflation. They also created ABC's Agent Carter TV series, set in the MCU.

La historia gira en torno a V, un Ex-Corpo de Arasaka traicionado por su propia corporación, siendo utilizado como cabeza de turco en una Op Secreta ordenado por su Director, tras la OP en el que fracasa, V pierde todo lo que tenía: su poder, su nombre y su lugar en el mundo. Sin hogar ni identidad, es acogido por Jackie Welles, un Merc de Heywood que lo introduce en el despiadado submundo de Night City. Durante un Encargo fallido en el Kompeki Plaza, en el que V y Jackie roban un Biochip en Fase Experimental, Jackie muere y V vuelve a ser cabeza de turco, Sin saber que tras el disparo, activa el Biochip que resulta contener el engrama digital de Johnny Silverhand, una Leyenda del Rock y Terrorista Anti-Corpo. Irónicamente, el constructo rebelde de Silverhand queda atrapado en la mente de un Ex-Corpo, iniciando una lucha interna por el control del cuerpo. Con su conciencia al borde del colapso, V y Johnny deberán colaborar para separarse y poder salvar la vida V... o perder su identidad para siempre.
