Anastasia Altamish has spent eighteen years being the perfect daughter to a cruel king. The eldest princess was never allowed to simply be a girl. She was taught to master every skill expected of a future queen, not skills meant for a rider. So when she takes the name Anna Asquith and enters the Riders Tri-Pack everyone assumes she's a little girl playing at being a soldier. They're wrong. Years of dance have given Anna extraordinary balance. Fencing taught her how to wield a sword. Archery taught her patience and precision. And her countless hours on horseback have taught her how to stay balanced on something far more dangerous than a horse. A dragon. But Anna is clever, stubborn, and impossible to break. With pale, freckled skin, mismatched eyes, and impossibly long fiery red hair, Anna becomes impossible to ignore. But no one knows who she really is. And then there's Declan Vale: tall, powerful, and infuriatingly drawn to the girl who shouldn't exist. And the tension between them is becoming dangerous. But the kingdom is hiding something. Dragons have been disappearing for centuries, and some of the dragons remember a history the crown erased. Anna came to the Tri Pack to escape her father. She may have just discovered the secret that could bring down his entire kingdom.
