Following the discharge of Commissioner Loeb on accounts of his corrupt partnership with Carmine Falcone, Jim Gordon is appointed Gotham's new police commissioner. But the new job won't be easy. On top of a mysterious new vigilante taking the law into his own hands, corrupt local politician Oswald Cobblepot and his intelligent (but disturbed) friend Edward Nashton are planning to start their own crime syndicate which quickly gains traction against the Falcone and Maroni crime families.
